Bodin Family ~ Fresh 48

"Every good and perfect gift is from above." James 1:17

Meet Owen! He's a leap day baby! I was so excited while walking down the hallways of Touro to meet Owen and was double excited to see his mom, Jenn! She and I went to high school together, so it's been quite a while since we have gotten to catch up! There was a calm, quiet love that radiated throughout the room as soon as I walked in. Ryan was so gentle and protective of his new son, and Jenn was nurturing and elated that this little blessing was hers. Enjoy a few of my favorites from my Fresh 48 session with baby Owen at just one day old. Congrats to Ryan, Jenn and their families on such a blessing!

New Orleans Lady

Hey ya'll,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  I know this beautiful bride did!  I'd LOVE  to (FINALLY) introduce to my best friend of over 16 years, Carrie.  When Carrie asked if I would take her bridal portraits earlier this year I might have cried (a few times), and then happily obliged! :) We began her bridal shoot on the rooftop of The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans and then we headed over to the center of City Park.  Not only was she absolutely dazzling (YES, dazzling) from head to toe, she had such a sweet glow about her the entire day and if I had to guess it was probably a direct reflection of the love she shares with her now husband.

Carrie and Austin tied the knot this weekend at a draw dropping ceremony at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Orleans, and then celebrated the night away at the most incredible reception at The Roosevelt Hotel.  The weekend was filled with lots of happy tears (again on my end of course), hysterical laughs, and SO much love and support from family and friends- it was perfect.

Carrie, you are like a sister to me, and I couldn't imagine a more perfect match for you than Austin.  Thanks for such a fun memory!  Love you both, and congrats!  Enjoy!

An Extraordinary Day

Hey ya'll,

I hope everyone had a beautiful Easter Sunday!  I have been squirming in my seat to share this blog post with you!  I'd love for you to meet these two musically sound sweethearts, Heather and Matt.  Heather and I were college sorority sisters, and we also happen to be photografriends. ;) She is an uber talented artist AND photographer, and truly warms your heart with her presence alone.  Heather and Matt met in Nashville, Tennessee and after getting engaged last year they have made their journey back to New Orleans to start their life together.  They both share an infinite love for music, art and each other.

When Heather asked if I would want to take their engagement portraits, and shared her ideas I couldn't wait to get them in front of the camera!  We started our session at the New Orleans French Market, did some shopping, a little smooching and played dress up.  Then we headed over to their new digs, where Matt carried Heather over the threshold (cutest thing I've ever seen) and I even put them to work on some moving boxes.  We wrapped up the session with the tune of adorable love song from Matt to Heather (he's definitely a keeper) and some front porch snuggles.

I can't describe the immense love these two have for each other but just take a look below at how it shines through in these photos. They will be getting married this Friday (YAY!) in New Orleans, and I couldn't be more excited for them.  Thank you Heather and Matt for such an EXTRAordinary day.  You guys are so lovely, seriously.  Enjoy!
